Show Host Internships available with Fan Media

Show Host Internships are available now for college students across 100 cities and college towns.

Host a Fan Show for your college team on Zoom with other fans where you discuss games and news.

These are weekly shows, 4-8 minutes, that can be watched on a phone. Shows are recorded on Zoom. Show Host interns edit them and turn them into a show and publish them on Fan Media and their social media (LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram).

Show Host interns get a verified Reporter profile for their college. Fan Media mobile newsroom staff develops remote interns as Show Hosts by providing training, critique and collaborating on shows. Interns will edit video into a show using Fan Media’s format (show graphic and music provided). The best quality shows get in Apple News.

Fan Media website/app have 300 team channels across 100 cities and college towns for NCAA, NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, MLS news and shows. The company is based in Dallas and has a publisher partnership with Apple News.

This comes after successful remote internship programs with students from the University of Alabama, Auburn University, Boston College, Mississippi State University, Penn State and Texas State.

“We are the first to do Fan Shows recorded on Zoom. It’s fun, easy and fast. Our sports news network pioneered iPhone and Android reporting, remote internships, and now fan shows. It’s all pulled together by our innovative mobile newsroom product and staff,” said Fan Media CEO and Founder Kirk Berridge.

The Show Host internship program is offered now through May and can be customized to meet your school’s requirements. This is for school credit, non-paid. To be eligible for this internship position, you must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an academic internship course through your college or university that will run concurrently with this internship opportunity.

To apply, simply create a profile on the company’s iOS app or website. Make an introduction video to get a verified Reporter profile for the team of your choice. Then please fill out this application. Our mobile newsroom staff will reach out.
